Margaret 'Peggy" Enfield, 72 of Warwick, MD, passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2023.
Peggy was born on April 18, 1951 to the late Robert and Anna Simmons. She grew up in Townsend, DE and was a 1969 graduate of Middletown High School. Over the years Peggy was an active member of the Millington Moose Lodge and Cecil County 4-H program where she was both a volunteer and club leader. She had a love for children and animals. She enjoyed painting ceramics, gardening, steam and tractor shows and attending tractor pulls as a member of the Island Creek Garden Tractor Pullers. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and taking day trips to Lancaster, Pennsylvania with her sister, Lynn. Her greatest joy was her family. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved attending sporting events, school activities and everything her grandchildren were involved in.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and three children: Matthew, Lois Jean, and Wilson and her grandson, Samuel A. Mullin.
She is survived by her significant other Wayne Bartsch; son Robert Enfield Sr. (Traci) of Raymondville, MO, daughter Jamey Mullin (Patrick) of Warwick, MD; sisters Linda (Lynn) Simmons and Helen (Inki) Simmons; 7 grandchildren: Whitnie Shepherd (KatLynn), RJ Enfield (Kassi), Alexandria Enfield (Curtis), Morgan Smith (Chad), Tanner Enfield (Destiny), Bayne Mullin, and Colson Enfield. 6 great grandchildren: Baylor, Raeklynn, and Kutter Shepherd, Kinzlie Renae, Zaylie Mae Lynn, and Briar James Enfield and 2 more great granddaughters both on the way.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 3rd from 6 to 8 PM in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 4th at the Galena Funeral Home at 11 AM with a viewing from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will follow in Townsend Cemetery.
