Margaret was born on November 10, 1929, in Chester, PA, to the late Hugh and Mary Ann (Garrett) Dougherty. A passionate entrepreneur, she spent much of her life collecting, selling, refurbishing, and dealing in antiques. In her later years, Margaret developed a love for birdwatching and found joy in reading about different bird species. One of her simple pleasures in life was enjoying a plate of mashed potatoes.

Margaret shared a deep bond with her husband, Larry, and together they enjoyed traveling, particularly on cruises where they were known for being excellent dancers. She also loved visiting New York to explore the latest fashion trends, always staying impeccably dressed in the most current styles. Over the years, she lived in Garden City, PA, Dover, DE, and Lewes, DE.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Lawrence, and two sons, Gary and Dennis DiEmidio. Also preceding her were her siblings: Eleanor Dougherty, Denis Dougherty John Dougherty, Hugh Dougherty, and Roseann Geers, who passed away on November 10, 2024.

Margaret is survived by her son, Kevin DiEmidio of Dover, DE, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her deeply.  She is also dearly missed by nurse "Gabbie" who never left her side.
