Obituary

Neal Coleman 70 of Stevensville, MD passed away on December 9, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Neal was born on October 25, 1951 in Chestertown, MD, son of the late Marion George Coleman and Jeanette Sparks Coleman. He was a 1969 graduate of Queen Anne's County High School.  His interest in the funeral service began while working with J. Willis Wells in Chestertown. He was a 1973 graduate of Kentucky School of Mortuary Science and for 30 years worked for Howard H. Hubbard in Baltimore. He retired from Johnson-Fosbrink Funeral Home in 2009.

Neal was a member and past president of the Optimist Club of Arbutus, founding member of the National Wild Turkey Federation Eastern Shore and a member of Chester River Joint Venture. He enjoyed turkey, goose, duck and deer hunting and was a goose hunting guide and enjoyed traveling to historic sites.

Neal is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Teresa Ann 'Terry' Coleman; his sister, Cheryle Coleman of Catonsville, MD; his brothers, Jerry Coleman (Katie) of Carneys Point, NJ and Keith Coleman (Pat) of Middletown, DE; sister in law and brother in law Virginia and Arthur Leonard; nieces and nephews, Blain, Avery, Derek, Brian and Jessica; and great nieces and nephews Sidney, Seth, Cidney and Kaleb.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 15 from 6 to 8 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 16 at 11 am. Burial will follow in Crumpton Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Compass Regional Hospice or Crumpton V.F.C.
