Louise Spencer, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 14th, 2025. Louise was born September 27, 1934 in North Carolina to the late Howard G. "Buck" Lindsey and the late Mattie White Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Spencer and sisters Marjorie Ray and Elmarie Finch.

She is survived by her daughters, Mimi Roe (Bud), Mavis Jones (Joe), Janine Wetzel (Andy), and Rachel Lockwood (Eddie); siblings Joe Lindsey, Steve Lindsey, Kerry Lindsey, Barron Lindsey, and Ann Gupton; grandchildren Sara Dion (Cory), Will Roe (Mackenzie), Bobby Arnold; great grandchildren Harrison Dion, Libby Dion, Liam Roe; and many loving relatives.

Louise was a long time resident of Church Hill, where she and her husband raised their four daughters on their small farmette. She was a homemaker, caring for her children and tending to the house, the property and the various farm animals and pets. In addition, she and her husband once owned and operated the Edge of Town trailer park located on the outskirts of Chestertown which Louise mostly managed. In the mid seventies, she became an entrepreneur, flying to California for training, then returning to Chestertown to open a Merle Norman cosmetic studio on Cross St. She also dabbled in real estate. In her later years, she enjoyed true crime tv, country music, word search puzzles and good banter. She will be missed.

The family has requested a private graveside service with arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compass Hospice, online or by mail, to 160 Coursevall Drive Centreville MD 21617.
