Obituary

Kimberly LeAnna Conner, a loving mother, devoted wife, passed away on June 10, 2026, at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. 

Born on July 27, 1962, in Grinnell, Iowa, Kimberly’s life was marked by dedication to her family and hard work.Raised in Iowa, Kimberly met her future husband, Dale Conner, while he was working as a long-distance truck driver. In 1984, she moved to Maryland and together they built a life founded on love and commitment that lasted 42 years. Kimberly was the heart of her family, raising her daughters between Colchester Farm near Galena and Browntown Road, Kennedyville.Throughout her career, Kim worked in the food service industry, including positions at Dixie Jo’s, Dutch Deli, and Molly’s. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the kitchen as she also operated a day care center, providing care and support for countless children.

Kimberly is survived by her beloved husband, Dale Conner, and her two daughters: Tabatha McGinnis and her husband Todd of Kennedyville, and Cortney Wolf of Dover, Delaware. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Alexis Johnston, Eryn Johnston, Adriana Johnston, Rylee McGinnis, Conner Wolf, Maxwell Wolf, and Ellison E.J. Passwaters. Her sister, Korena O’Cain of Middletown, Delaware.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry J. Lacina and Kathy Buchanan Higdon, along with her brother, Kevin Lacina.

A visitation will be held on June 16, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Galena Funeral Home, 118 W Cross St, Galena, MD, with a funeral service at 4:00. Inurnment will follow at Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton, MD.
