Kathryn L. Boyd, 93 of Hockessin, DE formerly of Earleville, MD, passed away on June 4, 2026 in Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Boyd was born on March 14, 1933 and raised in Earleville. Daughter of the late William and Kathryn Wolfe Loller, she was a 1951 graduate of Cecilton High School. In December of 1951, she married Eugene D. Boyd, Jr. and moved to Wilmington, DE where she raised her family. Mrs. Boyd loved being with her family and enjoyed baking and gardening. In 1988, they returned to Earleville, MD where they enjoyed the country life.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Eugene Boyd, Jr.; their son Eugene D. ‘Buddy’ Boyd III; son in law Joe Bogucki; sisters, Evelyn Schrader and Rebecca Markline and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Grace McBride.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by her children, Susan B. Bogucki of Hockessin, DE, Debbie Jett (Charles) of Spotsylvania, VA; Kathy Alley (Mark) of Townsend, DE and W. David Boyd (Kammie) of St. Johns, FL; a brother John ‘Jack’ Loller (Charlotte) of Earleville, MD; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 8 from 11 to 12 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Cecilton, MD.
