Katherine C. McCrea, 97 of Millington, MD passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022 at Compass Regional Hospice, Centreville, MD.

Mrs. McCrea was born on May 2, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Edward B. and Ruth Crawford Collins.  She and her husband raised 2 children and for 9 years help to raise 40 foster children.  She worked as a telephone operator for Food Fair for 15 years.  After retiring in the 1970's she and her husband moved to Millington.  She was a devout Christian and a member of Holden's Chapel.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Leedom J. McCrea and 5 brothers, Edward, James, Joseph, William and Francis Collins.

Mrs. McCrea is survived by her daughter Jeanne M. Rapp and her husband Michael of Phoenixville, PA, her son William L. McCrea of Millington; a sister Ruth Collins Hoxter of West Chester, PA; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Feburay16 at 2 pm in Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton, MD,
