June Rebecca Jewell, 99 of Chestertown, MD, passed away on December 28, 2024 at Compass Regional Hospice, Centreville, MD.

June was born on September 21, 1925 in Still Pond, MD, daughter of the late William Louis Jewell and Anna Rebecca Bramble Jewell.  She was a 1942 graduate of Chestertown High School.  During WWII she worked in the personnel office at Aberdeen Proving Ground, she later worked at Forney's in Chestertown, but most enjoyed her long career at Heron Point as a receptionist, retiring at the age of 95.  She loved her dogs and nature and enjoyed watching and feeding birds, sewing, needlework and quilting

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Louis Jewell, Jr.

June is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Tyler); her dog, Gracie; 2 nephews and her dear friend Wen Liu.

A private burial will be held in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown, MD
