Juergen Klaus Meyer "Yogie", 86 of Chestertown, MD passed away peacefully at Complete Care at Corsica Hills on January 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Yogie was born and raised in Berlin Germany on May 25, 1939 to the late Willi and Hildegard Meyer.  In Berlin he worked as a police officer and retired before moving to the United States in 1990.  After moving he later drove for MediQuick Medical Equipment before fully retiring.  In retirement he loved sailing and being on the water.

He is survived by his loving wife Isolde Meyer, children Tanja Luft (H.P.) of Hanover, Germany, Marilyn Ford (Scott) of Chestertown, MD, and Connie Crosman (Jeff) of Church Hill, MD; grandchildren Darline Graf, Constantine Luft, Kenny Plummer, and Morgan Faebus, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held privately.
