Johnnie Day, 74 of Cecilton, MD, passed away on February 19, 2021 at home.

Johnnie was born on September 9, 1946 in Bradshaw, West VA, son of the late Ira and Sarah Stiltner Day.  He was one of 11 children that moved to Cecil County.  Johnnie owned and operated John Day Construction for over 40 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors, but loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Virginia Day; sons, John Day of Cecilton, MD and Stephen Day (Jennifer) of Earleville, MD and 3 grandchildren, Taylor Day, Elizabeth Day and Stevie Day.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 24 at 1 pm in Zion Cemetery, Cecilton, MD.
