John Wayne Slagle, known to many by Jay passed away on February 5, 2026 at Christiana Care Wilmington, DE.  Jay was 36 years old.

He was born on November 13, 1989, son of Carey Slagle and Wayne Slagle. Jay was disabled and resided at Mary Campbell Center in Wilmington, DE, where he enjoyed his daily activities.  Jay has also participated in Special Olympics.

Jay was preceded in death by his grandmother Doris Slagle and grandfather John Slagle who loved Jay dearly and his sister Tiffany Slagle

He had such a bright smile.

He is survived by his loving mother, Carey Slagle, sister Ashley Slagle and his father Wayne Slagle.

A graveside service will be held on February 16, 2026 at 1pm in Chester Cemetery, High St. Chestertown, MD where he will be buried with his grandparents.
