John H. Roberts, "Johnny" 82 of Cecilton, MD passed away on June 13, 2022 at Elkton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Johnny was born on December 20, 1939, son of the late Isaac Roberts and Sarah Catherine Wilson Davis.  He was raised in Townsend, DE until entering the service in 1957 where he served with the U.S. Army.  He was honorably discharged in 1961 in California where he lived the next 9 years.  He returned to New Castle County, working as a farm laborer, dump truck driver, driver for a cleaners and a packager for Rondo Foods.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Roberts and brother in law James Staton.

Johnny is survived by his sister, Ella Staton of Richmond, VA; sister in law Diane Roberts of Wilmington, DE; special friend and his family Johnny White and a host of nieces and nephews.

A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 10 am at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.  Arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech
