Joan M. Bell, 69 of Chestertown, MD, passed away on December 3, 2022 at Peak Healthcare.

Joan was born on February 9, 1953, daughter of the late Harry and Mary White Patrick.  She had lived in Kent and Queen Anne's Counties where she worked as a cook for area restaurants including, The Old Wharf, Hemmingways, Anglers and Buzz's Steak House.  She enjoyed shopping, cookouts and spending time with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Fred Calder and Mike Bell and siblings Thomas Mercer and Linda Chapman/

Joan is survived by her son John Calder Sr. (Barbara), brother John 'Bobby' Patrick (Brenda Barkhurst); 4 grandchildren, John Calder, Jr. (Samantha), Donny Calder (Tabby), Travis Reed (Crystal) and Danny Petell, Jr. (Amy) and 7 greatgrandchildren, Travis Reed, Jr., Hunter L. Calder, Mackenzie Calder, Hope Brown. Kayla, Lacey and Noah Hughes.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 9 from 12 to 1 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 1pm.  Burial will follow in Crumpton Cemetery.
