Jerry Martin Heinefield, 82 of Rock Hall, MD passed away on January 14, 2023 in his home.

Jerry was born on January 13, 1941, son of the late Herman John Heinefield and Catherine Reihl Heinefield.  He was a lifetime resident of Rock Hall where he was a self-employed carpenter, building and remodeling homes in the area.  He enjoyed playing the guitar and was a member of the Swinging Strings a Gospel and Country group.  He also enjoyed woodworking.  In his earlier years he was active with the Methodist Church and the MYF.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lee Taylor Heinefield in 2019 and his brothers, Junior Heinefield and Ernest Heinefield.

Mr. Heinefield is survived by his sons, Jerry Heinefield of Rock Hall and Marty Heinefield of Church Hill, a sister Mildred Rafine of Rock Hall; sister in law, Portia Gsell of Chestertown and 2 grandchildren, Ashlee Heinefield and Mason Heinefield and nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 23 from 10 to 11 am in Wesley Chapel Church, Rock Hall, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Wesley Cemetery.
