Jeanne M. Wode, 89 of Chestertown, MD passed away on July 29, 2022 at Adventist Health Care, Takoma Park, MD.

Mrs. Wode was born on December 10, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ. Daughter of the late Jerome and Helen McDermott Amitrani.  She was raised in Jersey City and married Frank in 1955.  They moved to Havertown, PA in 1966 where they raised their family.  She enjoyed oil painting, theatre acting and was an avid reader.  After her husband's death she moved to Los Vegas and in 2007 she moved to Chestertown.

She attended the Amy Lynn Ferris Center.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Francis G. 'Frank' Wode in 1989 and a brother Jerry Amitrani.

Mrs. Wode is survived by her children, Patricia McClenahan and her husband Samuel and Christopher Wode and his wife Elizabeth; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on October 15, 2022 at 2 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD where friends may call from 1 to 2pm.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to the Amy Lynn Ferris Center or the Humane Society of Kent County.
