Obituary

Thomas Bolton "Jay", 55, passed away on Saturday, September 16 surrounded by his three daughters and loving wife. He was the husband of Sheila Bolton, sharing one year and four months of marriage, but a total of five wonderful, devoted years together as a couple. He was also the father of "his three beautiful girls" Bryanna, Ellie and Lexie. Born in Union Hospital of Elkton, MD on September 22, 1967, he was the son of Donnie and Frances Bolton.

He graduated Bohemia Manor High School in 1985 and continued with his employment at Georgetown Yacht Basin immediately after. He worked there from 1981-1998, gaining the skill, knowledge and experience he would use to launch his successful business, Bolton Graphx in June 1998. He loved and appreciated his loyal clients for their support over the years, contributing to the success of his career

Jay joined the Cecilton Fire Company in 1983 dedicating his time to serve his community. He was past Chief, past President and held many other various administrative positions as a Board of Directors member with the fire company. Jay began coaching softball with the Chesapeake City Little League and founded the Veasey Cove Venom fast pitch softball organization in the Chesapeake City/Cecilton areas. He later resumed the established travel softball team, Maryland Mischief. Coaching all three of his daughters created core memories for them that will last forever. Jay enjoyed cooking and football Sundays watching his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed spending time in his sunroom, the Fall season, trips to Lancaster, PA and the family beach house in Bethany Beach, DE, listening to music mostly with his beautiful wife and above all else, spending time with his family. Jay will be missed for his humor, kindness, jokes, loyalty and love he had for those close to him.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Earleville, his father Donnie of Cecilton, brothers Doug Bolton (Kim) of Elkton and Kevin Bolton of Elkton, his daughters Bryanna Leonard (Andrew) of Earleville, Ellie Bolton of Frostburg, Alexis "Lexie" Bolton of Earleville, his bonus children Billy Dwyer (Lauren) of Worton, Stephanie Price (John) of Chestertown, his grandchildren Ryan Kathleen and Killian Jay Leonard and bonus grandchildren Emma and Riley Dwyer, Zoe and Zaydee Trengo and Jameson Price as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Frances Bolton, his aunt Becky Nicholson, uncle Bud Nicholson, his Uncle Tommy O'Neal and his beloved dog Nikko.

Visitation will be held at the Cecilton Firehouse on Saturday, October 14 from 10-12 with services beginning at 12 noon and a Celebration of Life immediately following. Friends and family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, Jay requested donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech.
