Janet Mae Jaeske Koch, 88 of Dover, DE, passed away on January 7, 2023 at Bayhealth Medical Center-Kent Campus, Dover, DE.

Janet was born on July 18, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Carl E. and Sarah F. Bremer Jaeske.  In 1961she moved to Hacks Point, Earleville, MD where she raised her 4 sons.  Janet worked as an inspector for Thiokol. She was a member of the MOT Senior Center, Canal Unit 25 American Legion Auxiliary in Townsend, DE for 23 years and attended Immanuel United Methodist Church in Townsend, DE.  Janet moved to Dover in 2014 to be closer to family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jeff Koch; brothers, Charles and Robert Jaeske and a great granddaughter Sophia.

Janet is survived by her sons, Bob Koch of Hacks Point, Billy Koch of Dover, DE and Rick Koch and his wife Gayle of Millville, DE; daughter in law, Teresa Koch of Bear, DE; sisters Betty Greco of Dover, DE and Carol Cochran and her husband Bill of Chincoteague, VA; sister in law, Betty Lou Jaeske of Hatfield, PA; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Swanson (Brandon), Robert Koch, William Koch (Rachael), Melanie Barry (Dan), Emilie Craig (Chad), Andrew Koch, Stacy Lovegrove (Jacob) and Richard Koch and 14 great grandchildren.

A funeral service celebrating Janet's life will be held on Thursday, January 12 at 2 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where friends may visit from 1 to 2 pm.  Burial will be held privately in Sharon Hills Cemetery, Dover, DE.
