James T. Spray, 86, of Harrington, DE passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE, surrounded by his loving family.

James was born in Wilmington, DE on November 26, 1938, to the late Martha and William Spray.  He was raised in Chestertown, MD where he attended school. From 1956 thru 1962 he served with the Maryland National Guard, earning the rank of Sp4. From a young age James loved working on farms.  On the farm he raised cows, chickens and pigs.  In 1961 James married the love of his life Barbara (Gundlach) and together enjoyed over 64 years of marriage and together raised 5 children.  When he wasn't working on the farm, he enjoyed goose and deer hunting, skeet shooting and spending time with family.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 6 siblings, son John Sinsabaugh, son James F. Spray, daughter in law Karen Spray and grandchild Jamie Spray.

James is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Barbara, son Joseph Sinsabaugh (Lisa); daughters Lucille Williamson and Martha Simpson (Rick); daughter in law Barbara Sinsabaugh; sister Margaret Kimble; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many loving extended family members.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11 am to 12 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville, MD.
