James Alfred Cornelius, Sr., ‘Al’ of Rock Hall passed away on October 16, 2026 at Compass Regional Hospice, Centreville, MD

Al was born on March 7, 1941 in the family home in Rock Hall. He was the son of William Roby Cornelius, Sr. and Rose Elma Thomas Cornelius. He attended Rock Hall Schools. Al was a waterman all his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Roby Cornelius, Jr. in 2003.

Al is survived by his wife of 51 years Patricia ‘Patsy’ Woollens Cornelius; 2 sons Jamie and his wife Kathy and Eric and his wife Angel; 4 grandsons, Tyler and his wife Bethany, Sawyer, Nash and Drew; 2 great grandchildren, Kayce and Kennedy; and a sister Myrna Hudgins.

Per his wishes services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kent County Waterman’s Association or Wesley Chapel Cemetery Fund.
