Jackie Eugene Sharp, 70 of Elkton, MD passed away on May 1, 2024 at home.

Jackie was born on May 26, 1953 in Marlinton, W. VA, son of Vera Sue Vaughan Downer and the late Fred James Sharp, Jr.  His family moved to Elkton when he was a teenager and in 1971 he graduated from Elkton High School.  Jack worked most of his life as a newspaper printer for Cecil Whig and Bartash Printing Company.  After retiring he worked as a security guard for APG and Sun Med Growers.  He was passionate about fishing and crabbing and helping his family and friends.

Along with his mother, Vera Downer of Elkton, MD; he is survived by his daughter, Jacki Taylor (Jimmie) of Elkton, 2 granddaughters, Rachel Taylor and Rebecca Taylor and 2 sisters, Pam Shelby (Isham Shelby, Jr.) of South Carolina and Laura Smith of Texas; a niece Autumn Bedenbaugh (Babe) and a nephew James Shelby (Nicole) both of South Carolina.

There will be no formal service, but we would like you to celebrate Jack the way you knew him.
