Irene Bernice Waters, 88 of Warwick, MD passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024 at her son's home in Middletown, DE.

Mrs. Waters was born on November 7, 1935, daughter of the late Elsie Garrison and William Harris.  She was raised in Cecilton until moving to Warwick in 1962.  She raised 8 children and also worked.  She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Waters, Sr.; a son Jerome Waters; and brothers and sisters, William Harris, Tommy Davis, Charles Davis, Emma Gatewood, Marie Moore, and Victoria Davis.

Mrs. Waters is survived by her children, Robin Waters, Michael Waters (Joyce), Charmaine Waters, Robert Waters (Shelia), Brenda Waters, James Waters, Jr. and Andre Waters (Gwen), sisters, Rose Boyer, Frances Davis, Linda Davis and Sylvia Davis, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on October 12 from 9 -11 am at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service begins at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Union Bethel Cemetery, Cecilton, MD
