Ilene Amanda Wolfe, 94 of Chestertown formerly of Annapolis, passed was April 10, 2020 in Autumn Lake Healthcare, Chestertown.

Mrs. Wolfe was born on May 1, 1925 in Dorchester County, daughter of the late John S. and Cora Dennis Hurley.  In 1942 she began working as a telephone operator in Annapolis until meeting her husband in 1965 while he was in the Navy.  In 1966 they married and she became a homemaker.  She enjoyed flower gardening and was very skilled in handwork, including crocheting and knitting.  Ilene and her husband moved to Chestertown in 2017.

Along with her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 52 years, John R. Wolfe, Jr. in 2018, a son Freddie King, and her siblings, twin brother William A. Hurley, Alan Dennis, Richard 'Skippy' Hurley, Russell Hurley and Connie Peters.

Mrs. Wolfe is survived by her children, Ann King and William King; her devoted caregiver and nephew J. Anthony 'Tony' Hurley and numerous nieces and nephews.
