Ida Rose Nelson,94 of Middletown, Delaware, passed away peacefully on September 24,2026 at Bristol House Memory Care in Warrington, Pa.

 Mrs. Nelson was born on August 19, 1932, in Baltimore, MD and is the daughter of the late John Hennish and Helen Hennish. After graduating from Patterson Park High School, she married Joseph Baroux Nelson. As a young couple they moved to Bucks County, Pa where Joe Nelson worked as a tax accountant. Mrs. Nelson started her married life as a homemaker and as their two children (Nancy Ann and Joseph Jr) grew she began employment as a school bus driver, then secretary and then was employed by A.E. Staley. 

Mrs. Nelson retired with her husband to Middletown, Delaware where she became an active line dancer and Ti Chi student. She also volunteered at the MOT Senior Center as a receptionist for many years. 

Mrs. Nelson and Nr. Nelson were married for 72 years before Mr. Nelson passed in 2024.

 Along with her parents and husband she was preceded by her sister, Eva. Mrs. Nelson is survived by her children, Nancy Ann Bowen (Mark) and Joseph B. Nelson, Jr. and four grandchildren: Christopher, Jessica, Jeffrey, Jason ,and several great grandchildren.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on October 22 at 11 AM at St Dennis Catholic Church, 153 N. Main St. Galena, MD where internment will follow at Old Bohemia Cemetery, Warwick, MD. 

In lieu of flowers , memorials may be offered to Last Chance Ranch in Quakertown, PA.
