Henry K. Long, Sr., "Sonny", 86 of Galena, MD passed away on October 19, 2021 at home.

Sonny was born on June 6, 1935 in Earleville, MD, son of the late Henry C. and Emma Loller Long. He was honorably discharged U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1953-1956.   Sonny began his career at Georgetown Yacht Basin as a marine mechanic, retiring in 2000 after 43 years of service. Henry loved spending time with his family and gardening.

Sonny is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathryn Reach Long; their children, John Keith Long (Jennifer) of Springville, TN, Kathryn Jones (Woody) of Galena, MD and Henry Kenneth Long, Jr. of Chesapeake City, MD; grandchildren, Megan Leffner (Nick) of Towson, MD, Bradley Jones of Townsend, DE, Trevor Dean Long, Emma Grace Long and Oliva Elizabeth Long all of Chesapeake City and beloved great grandchildren, Brynn Leffner and Emmy Leffner; siblings, William Long of Earleville, MD, James Long of Georgetown, MD, Edith Davis of Cecilton, MD, Donnie Long of Elkton, MD, Diane Powell of Galena, MD, Jackie Long of Hanover, PA and Phillis Carroll of Elkton, MD.

Services will be held privately.
