Harriett Yvonne Jordan

August 17, 1935 – September 20, 2024

Yvonne Jordan, age 89, passed away on Friday, September 20th, 2024.  Born in Jackson, Northampton County, NC on August 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Jacob James Jordan and Mildred Thelma Jordan and granddaughter of the late Luther Cuthbert Pruden and Harriett Wilson Fleetwood Pruden Brown.  She was also preceded in death by her son Devin and survived by her daughter Paige.

Ms. Jordan retired from Anne Arundel County Department of Finance.  She was an avid gardener and birdwatcher, insatiable reader, and enjoyed boating and travel.  She traveled often with her daughter and most recent trips she was fond of were those throughout the western Rocky Mountains by air, rail and car where she particularly loved seeing the magnificent scenery and wildlife along the Beartooth Highway; Pikes Peak; and throughout Yellowstone, Grand Teton , and Rocky Mountain National Parks.

A burial service will be planned at Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, NC.
