Marie Hessey, 84 of Chesapeake City, MD passed away on November 6, 2022 at home.

Marie was born on March 30, 1938, daughter of the late John Wesley Hessey and Lillian Mae Green Hessey.  She was a lifetime resident of Chesapeake City where she was a 1956 graduate of Chesapeake City High School.  Marie worked as a container control specialist for DuPont retiring in 1985 after 30 years of service.  She enjoyed gardening and camping.

Along with her parents, she was preceded by her brothers and sisters, John, Norman, Robert and Douglas Hessey and Elizabeth Hessey and Ellen Poore.

Marie is survived by a sister-in-law, Patricia Hessey; 6 nieces and a nephew, Shirley, Joyce, Cindy, Nancy, Patty and Theresa and Cliff.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 10 from 12 to 1 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 1pm. Burial in Galena Cemetery.
