Geraldine Ervin Cooper, 66 of Centreville, MD passed away on August 27, 2023 in Caroline Nursing & Rehab, Denton, MD

Geraldine was born on May 6, 1957, daughter of the late Thomas and Lula Kemp Ervin.  She was one of 16 children raised in Centerville but had lived most of her life in Church Hill.  She had worked for Hardee's and USA Fulfillment.  Geraldine loved spending time with her family, listening to music of any kind and reading.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by Ollie, Bradford, James, William, Harry, George, Linwood, T. Henry and Robert Ervin and a sister Virginia Erwin.

Geraldine is survived by her children Theresa Whye (Ben) of Easton, MD, Terry Rochester, Jr. and Chad Rochester both of Church Hill, MD, a brother Nat Ervin of Queen Anne, MD and 4 sisters, Betty Lou Register of Conway, SC, Carolyn Ann Chapman of Halethorpe, MD, Christine Brittingham of Church Hill, MD and Deborah Sue Conley of Centreville, MD; 13 grandchildren, Malik Brown, Khalil Harris, Tiaziah Wright, Dominick Whye, Jordan Whye, Kavon Rochester, Camren Rochester, Taijh Rochester, Kobe Rochester, Kaylee Rochester, Kyleigh Rochester, Oaklee Rochester, Aaliyah Rochester and 2 great grandchildren, Raina Harris (born 8/29/23) and Ivey Warfield on the way.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 2 from 5 to 7 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Church Hill Cemetery.
