George L. Hampton Jr, 58, of Chestertown MD passed away on April 1, 2024 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.

George was born in Darby, PA on May 12, 1965, son of the late George Sr and Jane Carol (Hilton) Hampton.  He grew up in Norristown, PA and was a 1983 graduate of Roosevelt High School.  From a young age he had an interest in construction and spent many years as a construction contractor working on both residential and commercial construction.  He was a skilled mason, painter and flooring installer.  He would often help those in the area rebuild after storm damage.

George was an avid hunter and an active member of the Thunder Guard Motorcycle Club.  He was previously a member of the Uniontown chapter before switching his membership to the Chestertown Chapter in 2019.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son George Leon Hampton III.

George is survived by his daughters Kiera M. Hampton of Middletown, DE and GeLeah Langston Hampton of PA; siblings Carmenlita Hampton Scott of Peachtree City, GA, Hugh Hilton Hampton of Dixie, GA, and Gary T. Hampton of Norristown, PA; granddaughters Amina, Nadia, and Quinn Steele; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on April 13, 2024 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Potters House Ministries, 8814 Fairlee Rd, Chestertown, MD 21620, where funeral service will begin at 12 pm.
