Frank S. Newsome, Jr. 64 of Worton, MD passed away on May 21, 2025 several days after a mowing accident.

Frank was born on August 26, 1960, son of the late Frank 'Pete' Newsome, Sr. and Ann Spray Newsome. He was a lifetime resident of Worton where he was a 1978 graduate of Kent County High School. He worked with his father milking cows at Hickory Hill Farm and for over 35 years he  owned and operated Newsome's Lawn Care and Firewood, retiring in January. As an avid Christian, Frank enjoyed spending all his time with his family, and attending church at Hope Fellowship and The Sower and their bible studies. Frank, along with friends and family, started East-Roc Band, where he began playing bass in 1989 and had their first show in 1990, entertaining for over 30 years. He loved car shows like Ocean City Car Cruise, motorcycle swap meets, and drag racing at Cecil County. Frank loved riding motorcycles, dirt bike racing against his sons and playing poker with Ricky and the boys. His favorite football team was the Red Skins and he loved spending time with his grandsons.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Darrah (Casey).

Frank is survived by his wife of 26 years, Roxanne Durham Newsome; 6 children, Conner Newsome of Worton, Tim Frost (Emily) of Texas, Shane Newsome (Morgan) of Worton, Nicole Nelson (Trey) of Worton, Ashley Newsome of Worton and Lucas Newsome of Worton; 2 sisters, Terry Milash (Paul) of Chestertown and Margaret Scheck (Ken) of Worton; and 2 grandsons, Caspian and Lewyn Newsome.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27 from 4-6pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 6 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ashley and Lucas Newsome Education Fund c/o People's bank, PO Box 210, Chestertown, MD 21620 or can be dropped off at any branch or offered to Hope Fellowship Church Building Fund.
