Frank J. Bone, II, 89 of Betterton, MD passed away on December 17, 2022 at Compass Regional Hospice Center, Centreville, MD.

Frank was born on April 6, 1933 in Pittston, PA, son of the late Francis J. Sr. and Irene Griglock Bone.  In 1953 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1955.  He later moved to Wilmington, DE where he worked for Delmarva Power Plant in Edgemoor for 32years.  In the early 1980's he moved to Betterton where he enjoyed his retirement.

He was a member of the Delmarva Power Sportsman Club and the C. Henry Price American Legion Post 246 in Betterton.  Frank loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Joseph and Frankie Bone and a brother Joseph Bone.

Frank is survived by his children, Theresa Green of Washington, William Bone of Betterton, Michael Bone of Frankford, DE and Marcine Nabb of Smyrna, DE; siblings Marie Strellish, Jeannette Smith, James Bone and Irene Alfano all of Exeter, PA; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 27 from 10 – 12 noon in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at noon.  Burial will follow in Still Pond Cemetery.
