Fay E. Kaufman, 86 of Sudlersville formerly of Kennedyville passed away on March 7, 2025 at Compass Hospice Center, Centreville surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Kaufman was born on September 12, 1938 in Houston, DE, daughter of the late Carl O. and Florence Bradley Gustafson. At a young age her family moved to Kent County where she continued to live and own an Assisted Living Home on Browntown Rd. Kennedyville.
She was a member of Betterton American Legion Post Auxiliary. Fay loved to read and play cards, especially Pitch.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, William R. Kaufman; a son Norman T. Hopkins, 3rd; 2 daughters Dawn E. Smith and Mary D. Tuohey; sisters Joan L. Sherwood and Laurina V. Rust and brothers Carl A. Gustafson and Dwight W. Gustafson.
Mrs. Kaufman is survived by her children, Karen M. Hopkins (Robert) and Gail L. Ervin (Norman); a sister, Betty Jean Wyble; brothers Victor Gustafson and Lee Gustafson; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Service will be held privately.
