Esther Wiltbank Meeks, 94 of Worton, MD, passed away on December 14, 2022, at Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.

Mrs. Meeks or Babe (as the family called her) was born on November 11, 1928, daughter of the late Heston and Lydia Dixon Wiltbank.  She was raised in Kennedyville and after her marriage in 1946 moved to the Meeks Farm on Lambs Meadow Rd. In 1978 they built a new home on the farm where she continued to live.  For 20 years she worked at Tenneco, retiring in 1989.  Esther enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, reading and seek a word puzzles.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Ivan W. Meeks; children, Harry 'Hop" Meeks and Charlotte Veasey and siblings Grace Price, Mildred Hampton, Bud and William Wiltbank.

Esther is survived by her children, Lee Meeks, Larry & Nancy Meeks and Thomas & Marie Meeks; brother, James 'Shorty' Wiltbank; sisters, Ruth Taylor and Martha Fleming; 10 grandchildren, Dennis Meeks, Kim Meeks, Reba McNeil, Chrissy Robinson, Thomas Meeks, Jr., Megan Meeks, Edward Meeks, Daneille Dixon, Tommy Fletcher and Robert 'Bubba' Fletcher; 14 great grandchildren and 6 great greatgrandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 19 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown, MD.
