Ernest Gregory "Pete" Coleman, 70, passed away on May 12, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Pete, as he was better known by many, was born in Rock Hall, MD.  He was the son of the late Ernest Raisin Coleman and Laura "Dean" Heinefield Puppe.

Pete spent many years working for Puppe Logging as a logger, truck driver, crabbing and jack of all trades.

He loved spending time with his family and friends, telling a joke or two along the way.  He enjoyed fishing and inventing a thing or two.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Denise (Coleman) Bozarth.

Pete is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia Lee (Thompson), daughter Laura Gsell (Troy) of Chestertown, brother Frank Coleman (Marsha) of Smyrna, DE, sisters, Bonnie Smithson of Rock Hall, Lisa Galiszewski (Mike) of Rock Hall and Terry Smith (Hoully) of Rock Hall; grandchildren, Abigail Smiley (Chuck) of Franklin, WV, Trevor Gsell (Sydni) of Chestertown, Jordan Gsell (Billy) of Chestertown, Nathaniel Gsell (Allison) of Chestertown, a very special great grandson Hunter Wyatt Lee (the apple of his eye), step-great grandson Alex Smiley; many nieces, nephews and very special friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 17 at 1 pm at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Rock Hall, MD.
