Eileen Susan Archer, 79 of Earleville, MD, passed away on December 16, 2025 while in Accent Care at Christiana Hospital, Wilmington, DE.

She was born on May 28, 1946 in Bryn Mawr, PA, daughter of the late Edward A. and Elma Mackey Schramko.  Susan was a devoted educator who spent most of her career as an ESL (English as a Second Language) tutor, a role that reflected her deep love of teaching, helping others learn and grow and learning about the cultures her students hailed from around the world.

Beyond the classroom, Susan found joy in playing games, time with family and friends, holiday gatherings, and boating and spending time on the Chesapeake.  She was also an avid and lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan with never-ending support even in the bad seasons.  She had a warm spirit and a genuine appreciation for shared laughter and meaningful moments, especially those spent with the people she loved.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Edward Schramko.

Susan is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dennis R. Archer, her daughter, Kiersten Archer and her son, Brett Archer and her sister Elaine Powers.  Susan will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to education and the love she gave to those around her.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 22 from 10 am to 12 pm in the Galena Funeral home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 12 pm.  Burial will be held privately by family at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.

In lieu of flowers and in Susan's memory, donations may be offered to a local charity of your choice.
