Edward Melvin Wilson, 80 of North East, MD passed away on March 30, 2023 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Mr. Wilson was born on October 30, 1942, son of the late James Albert Wilson, Sr. and Elsie Whitlock Wilson.  He was raised on a farm in Earleville where he enjoyed skeet shooting.  After graduation from Bohemia Manor High School he was draffted in the U.S. Army serving 2 years of active duty and 6 years of reserve. Upon his honorable discharge he began his career at General Cable in Elkton and after its closing worked for W. L. Gore until retiring.

He enjoyed his collection of decoys and guns and his love for his family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Anna Bailey and Diane Sprout and a brother Robert Wilson, Sr.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 41 years, Umporn "Uddy" Wilson, children, Kevin Wilson and his wife Dawn of Charlestown, MD and Addie Pongpinsiri Bao and her husband Eddie of Newark, DE; grandchildren Baylee Englehart and Olivia Bao and a great grandson Strider.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 10 at 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD 21635.
