Obituary

Edward Alan Clough, 74, of Barclay, MD passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Edward was born on February 21, 1949 to the late Oscar and Hester Clough in Millington, MD. He owned and operated E & L Logging for 39 years. He was kind, handsome, self-taught man and did not let his handicap stop him. Edward was a welder, mechanic, truck driver and farmed. He built his home in Barclay, MD. He had a reputation for integrity and respect for nature.

He was reserved and intelligent with common sense and could make himself heard. He kept God close to his heart. He loved country music, specifically Conway Twitty, cowboy shows, snuff, coffee and getaways to the mountains in Western Maryland with his wife. He fought a long, hard battle of pain for 40 years, which we all know that we will lose in the end.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Linda Nadolny-Clough. He is also survived by Jim and Charles Clough and a sister Joan McClements and many other relations. He was a big brother to Joseph Eugene Nadolny and John Michael Nadolny.

God granted him an extraordinary life, so in lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests for everyone to just say a prayer for a man who will be greatly missed.

Burial will be held privately in Church Hill Cemetery.
