Edith Lee Moore Cruz, affectionally know as 'Sis', of Galena, MD passed away on January 11, 2023 at the Resorts at Chester River Manor.  She was 90 years old.

Sis was born on March 12, 1932, daughter of the late Eliason and Cecelia Jones Moore.  She was a lifetime resident of Kent County where she worked for Campbell Soup in Chestertown for 31 years.  For the last 20 years she had lived at Briscoe Manor.  Mrs. Cruz attended Olivet United Methodist Church and Olivet Pentecostal Church both in Galena. She enjoyed going to church.

Sis loved dancing, traveling, shopping, showing off her new outfits and spending time with her family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rafael Angel Cruz, her companion of 14 years, Samuel Hackett and siblings, Norman, Samuel and Russell Moore, Lillian Alston and Beatrice Tate.

Mrs. Cruz is survived by a sister, Ruby Johnson (Allen)and brother Raymond Moore  (Mary) both of Chestertown; stepchildren Gregory, Mikey, Ralph, Emilio, Francis and Angelina Cruz; godsons, Derick Johnson and Raymond Moore, Jr. and a host of nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 1pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD.
