Earl W. Schelts, 88 of Massey, MD passed away on January 14, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Schelts was born on January 2, 1934 in Kennedyville, MD, son of the late Bulie Kenneth Schelts Sr. and Margaret Pauline O'Neal Schelts.  He was a lifetime resident of Kent County where he owned and operated a farm on Chesterville Road.  Earl loved farming and retired at the age of 80.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kenneth and Charles.

Mr. Schelts is survived by his wife of 67 years Doris Leager Schelts; 3 children, Glenn Schelts of Massey, Richard Schelts (Kelly) of Galena, and Donna McGinnis (Tom) of Henderson; 7 grandchildren, Sarah, Billy, Julie, Chris, Coty, Hunter and Casey and 18 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 19 from 12 to 1 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, where funeral service will begin at 1pm.  Burial in Galena Cemetery.
