Edwin Dewayne "Wayne" Harris Sr., 59 of Galena, MD passed away on November 8, 2021 in Millington, Maryland.

Wayne was born on April 5, 1962, son of Cassie Jones and Edward Harris Jr. He was raised in Galena, MD and was a 1980 graduate of Kent County High School.  After high school Wayne enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where he served from 1980 to 1987.  Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Galena, and worked 20 plus years, at the Dixon Sale Barn in Crumpton, MD as a laborer.

Wayne is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Jones and Willie Fred Jones.

Wayne is survived by his mother Cassie Lee Jones, father Edward Harris (Paulette), his sisters Mary Ann Fields of Bear, DE, Valerie Hackett of Galena, son Edwin Dewayne Harris Jr. of Galena, and daughter Shantelle Harris of Buckeye, AZ. 6 grandchildren, Aniyah Tolson, Julien Hunley, Legaci Harris, Daya Turner, Dana Harris and Jaiden Dewayne Garnett.

A viewing will be held on November 13, 2021 from 9 to 11am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross Street, Galena, MD and service will follow at 11am. Burial will be held privately.
