Douglas Lyn Taylor, 64 of Warwick, MD passed away on March 20, 2025 surrounded by his loving family while in hospice care at Christiana Hospital.

Doug was born on August 22, 1960, the son of the late Thomas E and Mary Emma Ransom Taylor. He was a lifetime resident of Cecil County where he attended Cecil County Public Schools. In 1979 he began his career with Johnson Controls, retiring in 2020 after 41 years of service.

Doug was a true sportsman, enjoying, fishing, hunting and crabbing. He loved his family and playing with his grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Richard Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Freda J. Craig Taylor; their son and daughter in law, David and Genna Taylor; 2 grandchildren, Dawson and Benny; a brother Thomas Taylor (Patricia); a sister Denise Moore (August) and many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26 from 11 -12 noon in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at noon. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Cecilton Vol. Fire Co., PO Box 565, Cecilton, MD 21913
