Dorothy A. Moore, “Dottie”, 76 of Chestertown, MD formerly of Betterton, MD passed away on June 1, 2026 at Chestertown Nursing and Rehab.

Dottie was born on July 9, 1949 in Cornelia, Georgia, daughter of the late Roy J. and Catherine Vinson Wade. At the age of 13 her family moved to Wilmington, DE where she graduated from high school. In 1974 she enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving for several years. In 1978 she married Allan E. Moore, and they moved to Betterton where they raised their family. Dottie enjoyed crafts and watching old movies.

Along with her parents she was preceded by her husband Allan E. Moore, brother Daniel Wade, and sister Diane Dunkleberger.

Dottie is survived by her children, Jeff Moore (Lindsay) of Nebraska, Tracy Foret (Jason) of Florida and 4 grandchildren Hunter Moore, Landon Moore, Vayla Foret, and Asher Foret.

A graveside service will be held on June 11 at 10 am in Still Pond Cemetery, Still Pond, MD.
