Dorothy E. Coleman, 85 of Sudlersville, MD passed away on November 29, 2022 at Queenstown Landing, Queenstown, MD.

Dot was born on October 9, 1937 in Rock Hall, MD daughter of the late William Earl and Cora Price Conner.  She was a 1955 graduate of Chestertown High School, the same month she married R. Alan Coleman.  In 1958 they moved to Sudlersville where they owned and operated a grain and dairy farm and raised their 4 daughters.  Mrs. Coleman worked in the cafeteria at Sudlersville and Church Hill Schools for 27 years, retiring in 2001.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Good Sam Camping Club, loved camping, bowling and line dancing, but most enjoyed time spent with family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, R. Alan Coleman in 2017.

Dot is survived by her daughters, Dolly Huffer (Billy) of Kennedyville, Darlene Coleman of Aberdeen, MD, Inki Greenwald (Bob) of Ocean City and Robin Kemp (Kevin) of Sudlersville; 2 sisters Daisy M. Johnson of Smyrna, DE and Wilma Lee Lepkowski (Stan) of Townsend, DE; 6 grandchildren, John Huffer (Jacqui), Christopher Huffer (April), Alan Debnam (Tiffany), Conner Layton, Mitchell Kemp and Lindsay Kemp and 4 great grandchildren, Jason Huffer, Aubree Huffer, Reid Debnam and Maren Debnam.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 5 from 11 am to 12 noon in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in Crumpton Cemetery.
