Dennis Matthew Yiannakis, 48 of Millington, MD passed away, with family by his side on November 7, 2021, following a courageous battle with Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Dennis was born in Chestertown, MD to Geneva Elizabeth (Betty) Spray Yiannakis and James E. Yiannakis, Sr. Before his diagnosis, Dennis worked for Weeks Marine and Dredging and was a member of the IUOP Local 25 Marine Division.  You could find Dennis many places but he loved being on the water the most.  He was a boat captain, mechanic, waterman, and welder but most importantly of all he was a caring and supportive husband and father.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mom Betty, and Father Jim, and most recently by his daughter Madisyn-his "princess".  May the Sun Shine Brighter still now that they are forever together again.

Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Julie Kincaid Yiannakis, his son Dennis Nathaniel Yiannakis and his daughter Olivia Renee Yiannakis.  Dennis also leaves behind his brothers Jimmy Yiannakis (Theresa), Paul Yiannakis (Jamie) and Marc Yiannakis (Shelly).

Dennis lost his mother when he was little and was lovingly raised by his Aunt Mary Spray (Mom #2), Uncle Charles Spray and his cousins (AKA siblings) Allen Spray, Jenny Spray Cole, and Kim Spray.  Dennis and Allen were best friends and shared many adventures together that will never be forgotten.  Dennis also has many Aunts, Uncles, In-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will remember and miss him dearly.

There will be a celebration of life held at the Betterton Firehouse on November 27, 2021 at 5pm for all who may wish to attend.
