David F. Waddell, Sr, 53, of Crumpton, passed away on December 24, 2022 at the University of Maryland Shore Medical at Chestertown.

David was born December 9, 1969, son of Mary Emma Waddell and the late Russell Thomas Waddell. David worked as a Truck Driver doing local and long-distance transports, most recently working for Phillip's Trucking in Kennedyville, MD. David was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed bowling, but most importantly loved spending time with family and friends.

Along with his dad, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Matthew Waddell.

David is survived by brother Daniel Stevenson of TN, sisters Darlena Resto, TN, Donna Blanchfield (Carey) Crumpton, Bonnie Johansen (Eric) Trappe, MD; Sharon Creed (Albert) Galena, MD; and his twin brother Russell Waddell Jr, Crumpton, MD; his children, Jessica Pretzler (Benjamin) of Centreville, MD; Amanda Pretzler (Matthew) of Church Hill MD; David Waddell Jr (Kendall Strickland) Easton, MD and; 4 grandchildren Aubrey, Matthew, Sophia, Olivia and Baby Pretzler who is due to arrive in March.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 30 from 11 to 12 pm at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross Street, Galena, MD, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm.

Burial will be held privately.
