Cynthia Littell Blackson, 87 of Chestertown, MD passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025 at Compass Regional Hospice Center, Centreville, MD.

Mrs. Blackson was born on October 1, 1938, daughter of the late Ruth Brice Littell Soltys and John Marcus Littell.  She was raised in Betterton where her family owned and operated Hotel Rigbie.  Cindy was a 1956 graduate of Chestertown High School and furthered her education at Goldey Beacom.  She returned to Betterton working for the family's business until her marriage when she moved to Havre de Grace, MD working her husband's contractor's business and Aberdeen Proving Grounds, where she retired from the Department of Defense in 1998.

She was a member of the Betterton United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #228, Rock Hall.  She enjoyed traveling the US, train trips through Canada, car trips out West and cruises to Alaska and Europe.  Cindy loved her family and reading mystery novels and TV was of great interest.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Thomas Gary Blackson; sister Mary Littell Wilkinson, stepson Gary Lee Blackson, niece, Laura A. Coleman, stepfather Richard J. Soltys stepmother Elizabeth Littell; cousins Louise Skinner, Brice Bonwill and Emory Bonwill.

Cindy is survived by her stepson Thomas A. Blackson; nieces, Audra Wilkinson and her daughter Miranda; Karen Wilkinson Peck (Kevin) and her sons Dawson & Nathan; nephew: Andy Wilkinson (Melissa) and their daughter Kesley Hickman (Shawn) and great grandnephew Tucker Hickman; grandnephew, R. Derek Coleman; brother in law, Herbert A. Blackson (Louis Gonzales); sister and brother in law Jane & Harold Stanton; niece and nephews Amy & Robert Nelson and children Sam & Claire and Will & Emily Stanton; cousins, Libby Knapp and Jackie Conley.

A Celebration of Life will be held as a later date.
