Crystal Ann Simpler Rodriguez, 67 of Kenton, DE, passed away on November 7, 2024 at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, DE

Crystal was born on December 20, 1956 in Chestertown, MD, daughter of the late William A. Simpler, Sr. and Martha Jean Stubbs Cockrill.  She was raised in Millington MD where her father operated Simpler Excavation where she later worked.  Crystal had also worked at Crumpton Sale Barn, (she had the rare ability to speak like an auctioneer).  More recently she worked as a cook – waitress for Tailgate in Millington.

She enjoyed yard sales, the Casino, dinner with friends and board games.  She was a great cook and enjoyed blending American and Spanish dishes.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Jamie Masami Furutani               and 2 brothers, William Simpler, Jr. and Joseph Simpler.

Crystal is survived by her husband Angel Luis Rodriguez, extended family and many close friends.

A private burial will be held in Sudlersville Cemetery.
