Clarence William Dixon Jr. 82 of Middletown, DE passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Clarence was born on February 6, 1939 in Worton, MD to the late Clarence William Dixon Sr. and Pearl Price Dixon.  He graduated from Galena High School in 1957 and worked for years as a maintenance superintendent for Tenneco Chemicals.  He loved spending his time fishing, crabbing, hunting, carving and painting decoys, but his greatest joy was spending time with his wife and family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Dixon States in 1995.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Hilda Park Dixon; sons Michael Dixon (Barbara) of Middletown, DE and Jeffery Dixon (Lisa) of Berlin, MD; sister Cora Jean Dixon Jones of Chestertown, MD; grandchildren Heather Dixon Frye (David), Chad Dixon (Lilly), Sarah Parker-McConnell (Matt), Hunter Dixon, Chase Dixon, Theresa Rio (Michael) and Ryan Mowers (Julie); and great grandchildren, Samantha Frye, Charlotte Frye, Addalyne McConnell, Parker McConnell, Phoebe Dixon, and Fiona Rio.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 8 from 12 to 1pm at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD where service will begin 1pm. Burial will follow in Galena  Cemetery.
