Charlotte Higgins Merchant, 92 of Rock Hall, MD passed away on April 19, 2022.

Born October 24, 1929, Charlotte was the daughter of James and Mary Staats Higgins and devoted wife of the late Elwood, mother of Elizabeth Marie Usilton, grandmother of Joseph Elwood "Woody" Batchelor, Lauren Usilton and Danielle Thornton, great grandmother of Brooklyn, Raylynn, Skylynn and Micaelyn.  Preceding her in death was her daughter Carol Merchant Batchelor and siblings, James, Rosie, Louise, Amy, Nellie, Leonard and Rosella.

Charlotte worked for C & P Telephone Company, retiring in 1983 after 25 years of service.  She enjoyed bowling, sewing, quilting and watching her favorite soap opera's.
