Charles Edward Wallace was born on May 19, 1943 to the late Otha Wallace Sr. and Mary Chandler. He departed this life for eternal glory on January 30, 2021 at Peak Healthcare (The Pines) in Easton, MD.
"Champ" as he was affectionately known, received his early education in Coleman Elementary School and graduated from Henry Highland Garnet High School, where he excelled in basketball and football.
In 1966, he married his high school sweetheart Margaret Wallace. From this union, one son was born, Carl.
Charles worked at the Vita Foods Plant in Chestertown, Chrysler Corporation in Newark, DE and later he went into construction under Labor Union 199 were he retired, earning his 50-year pin.
Charles joined Fountain United Methodist Church now New Christian Chapel of Love at an early age.
He loved his church, serving on several committees. Charles was chairperson of the Trustee's and the Men's Group, always trying to inspire the young men of the community.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, uncles and aunt.
Charles leaves so many precious memories to cherish. He leaves behind: his loving wife of 54 years Margaret Ann, Son Carl (Uylondia) of Big Woods and Granddaughter Tymira of Newark, DE.
A large family of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom loved him dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 11 am in New Christian Chapel of Love Cemetery, Big Woods. Their will be no viewing.
