Obituary

Charles Thomas Craig Jr., 83, of Earleville, MD passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Tommy was born on September 8, 1942 in Elkton, MD to the late Grace and Charles Craig Sr. He was raised in Cecilton where he lived until the age of 8, when his family started the family farm in Earleville. He grew up on the farm and worked all aspects of the farm with his parents and siblings. There they raised Holstein Cows, Black Angus Beef and grew grain over the years. In 1961 He graduated from Bohemia Manor High School where he was an active member of the FFA. After graduation he worked full time on the farm and would eventually take over operations from his father.

Tommy’s passion was being a farmer. He loved his work and shared that love and work ethic with his family. He also enjoyed riding and driving horses. He had a horse and buggy and loved driving horses around the farm and would travel to go horseback riding with friends. What he loved the most though was sitting around talking with family and friends over a bushel of crabs.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Joyce Marie Craig, and sisters Patsy Cichocki and Shirley Lockerman.

He is survived by sons Charles T. Craig III (Brenda) of Millington and Walter L. Craig (Brenda Dusia) of Earleville; brother Leslie Ray Craig, sisters Sue Nafzinger and Connie Paul; grandchildren Brittany Craig, Sierra Craig, Thomas Craig (Mellissa), Amber Craig Bryce (Thomas), and Aimee Craig; and great-grandchildren Chase Craig, Nathan Craig, Payton Bryce, and Morgan Bryce.

Services will be held privately.
